CAP 2012 Schedule & Message from Management

Hello Captains,
Attached as promised are the schedules for the tournament and for the practice games for the year 2012 (it will be available through CAP website at(www.peoriacricket.com ). We would like to welcome the last minute addition to the tournament (Golden Eagle from Bloomington).
We also have umpiring schedule attached so that all the captains know the schedule ahead of time and can arrange for umpires. Once again, we want to emphasize, its your tournament and in order to make it success all of you have to participate in umpiring. As much pain as it seems, it is an important part of a successful cricket tournament. So although we are making strict rules around umpiring our hope is we never have to implement it.
The rule as I stated previously is

- Umpiring : Umpiring will be responsibility of participating teams. CAP management will set up the umpiring schedule. If a team is unable to send umpires, it will incur a penalty of $80 per match (in which its unable to send umpires) and will not be allowed to play any more games in the tournament until the penalty is paid to one of the CAP management members. The penalty money will be paid to the make shift umpires ($40 each umpires) who will be chosen by CAP management only. Its captains responsibility to ensure that the umpires are present on field before the scheduled start time (its no use if the umpires show up after the game has already started, the penalty mentioned above will be applicable in case of late coming umpires). The umpires need to coordinate with the CAP management (Brahmaji Kadium, Manmohan Sahoo or Parag Mehresh) to ensure they have all the necessary equipment (stumps, score sheets, balls etc) to conduct the game as planned.
Another important announcement is as per the changes in ICC rules, we will not allow any runners in the tournament. We will follow ICC guidelines on this.
We also want to thank Srini for taking time to demo an app in I-phone to conduct (and streamline) scoring during the match. Please review the following demo links and please pass it along to your team members to get familiar with the app. We will pilot it in first few games and if people find it convinient we will continue using it for the rest of the tournament.
Lastly we thank you all for participating in yesterday's captains meeting. It was good discussion and we want to continue such dialogue to improve the tournament further. We may ask for volunteers from time to time to help us out in some of the improvements.
Good luck for the tournament
Regards
CAP Management
